Nature shows us so much about the character, sovereignty, and wisdom of God. As a mother hen hides and protects her chicks from unseen danger, so God protects the children of God. There is a visible world that we see with our eyes but there’s also an invisible world that humans can’t see and have no authority over. This was demonstrated after the people in the synagogue tried to kill Jesus because he healed a leper. Filled with wrath they led Jesus to the edge of the hill to cast him down, “But he passed through the midst of them, and went his way,.” (Luke 4:30) I’m grateful that God is able to camouflage his children when necessary from the storms of life.
