“I Shall Spew Thee Out Of My Mouth”~ Prayer and Blessing for My Beloved

As a Christian this warning is hard for me to hear, but like Jeremiah I feel we need to know the consequences of being lukewarm Christians. I don’t want to see, experience, or read about all the hell on Earth, know that there is a heaven, and end up being rejected by Christ. Jesus warned the Laodicea church that some of the signs of being lukewarm were: acting, talking, and living just like the world; prioritizing popular opinion over biblical righteousness, superficial prayer and scripture reading, self reliance, self indulgence, selective obedience, and being spiritually “wretched and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” Jesus implores us to be zealous for him, repent, hear his voice, open the door of our heart, and he will come in and sup with us (Revelation 3:19-20).

“Therefore because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, it will come to pass, that I shall spew thee out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16)
