“Blessed Are The Peacemakers”~ Prayer and Blessing for My Beloved

Artemis II Earthrise From The Moon

Artemis II astronauts described their 10-day lunar mission as a profound, “bonded forever” experience, highlighting the beauty of the Earth as a “crew, a fragile lifeboat.” They emphasized themes of shared humanity, joy, and the duty to care for our planet. The astronauts displayed the best of mankind, representing its diversity. They displayed a peace and an awe for the gift of life and planet Earth. Astronaut Koch remarked at seeing the hidden moon’s side up close “Everything we need, Earth provides. And that is somewhat of a miracle and one that you can’t truly know until you’ve had the perspective of the other.” I agree with Koch that the Earth is a fragile lifeboat. I pray that we will heed the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who warned that, “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God…Thou shalt not kill: for whosoever killeth shall be culpable of judgment.” (Matthew 5:9-21)
