“With His Stripes We Are Healed”~ Prayer and Blessing for My Beloved

Gordon,  AKA “Whipped Peter”, upon his escape from slavery enlisted in the Union Army. He fought for this country’s freedom and for the freedom of African Americans made in the image and likeness of God. Jesus gave us life with his stripes, and told us to love one another. He taught us that he who says they love God who they have not seen, and hates his brother, is a liar and a hypocrite. Black history is American history and until we repent and tell the truth about our collective history, we remain liars who God will not allow in heaven. Biblical history is world history and we must tell the truth about it as well. Jesus, by his stripes, forgives all of our sins and heals all of our diseases, including hatred, sickness, racism, sexism, nationalism, greed, poverty, war, materialism, and incurable chronic diseases of the mind, body, and spirit.

“But he was wounded for our transgressions: he was broken for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes are we healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
