“I Will Make The Crooked Places Straight” Prayer and Blessing for My Beloved: Thursday, February 5, 2026

Beloved, as I study God’s word I’m impressed that God is the same today, yesterday, and forevermore. I marvel that his word speaks through the centuries and through great theologians like Dr. Martin Luther King and Charles Spurgeon who was considered one of the most influential Christian figures of the 1800s. In one of his most famous sermons, he tells believers to move forward in life knowing that God clears obstacles, destroys human/satanic hindrances (“gates of brass”), and provides strength for impossible tasks. This is the same divine promise I hold on to today in spite of what’s happening in the world.

“I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron” (Isaiah 45:2)
