In the midst of all the perceived chaos in the world, I take great comfort in God’s promise to believers that “no weapon formed against thee shall prosper.” I love that he prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies and “inner-mes” and tells us, the barren woman, to “enlarge our tents” in preparation for the greater that’s coming. The challenges will come but his promise is to give us what we need to overcome them. Like Maya Angelou’s caged bird, I chose to sing. “This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
“Rejoice, O barren that didst not bear: break forth into joy and rejoice, thou that didst not travail with child; for the desolate hath more children than the married wife, saith the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:1)
