Peter, known as the rock of faith in which the church was built upon, abandoned Jesus when he faced imprisonment and death. Jesus prophesied that Peter would, and prayed that his faith would not fail him. We Christians, like Peter, will face times when our faith may fail and we like Jesus must always pray for our brothers and sisters. This is my charge for the new year.
“But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: therefore when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” (Luke 22:32)
